May, 1995. The Kishinev railway station. Farewell slavianka "in execution of a presidential orchestra sounds". "Landing" of the Moldavian veterans from thirty persons see off to Moscow for participation in the parade devoted to the 50 anniversary of the Great Victory. For them, soldiers and workers of back of military years, participation in such event is a top of their military and labour feat. A feat for the sake of a life on the Earth.
"I have conceived to have a talk with all participants of our group, to collect a material and to write the collection of sketches about each participant of parade. Now it is hard to publish such book, and still I will try to punch it...", - the journalist, the veteran of war Vasily Andreevich Tolochenko wrote the same year in one of the newspaper materials.
In 10 years, in 2005, the collection "Them was thirty..." (Publishing house "Universul") was published, and Vasily Andreevich has presented to me this book with a donative inscription: "... With the kindest wishes and in connection with our teamwork in municipal council of veterans. I will be rather grateful, if you tell the word about these pages". That I also do.
To retell the collection maintenance I will not begin, after all only own perusal can give all completeness of impressions about those far events told in this book.
I have read the collection on one breath, for one evening. Many heroes of sketches knew are people of the big personal modesty, and I never imagined, that at the front they showed such miracles of courage and heroism.
Sketches about them is a monument to veterans of war and work, this masterful disclosing of characters through one-two episode from their life at the front or at the factory which is letting out the military technics and arms.
This year when the 60 anniversary of the Great Victory was marked, again on a stone blocks of the Red area in Moscow there has passed the gentleman of a soldier's award "Glory", the former front scout, nowadays the first vice-president of Council of veterans муниципия Kishineu Vasily Andreevich Tolochenko.
Nowadays he is engaged in military-patriotic work among youth, together with other veterans of war and work addresses to pupils of educational institutions, young soldiers, telling about feats of their fathers and grandfathers. As it is important, that communication of generations did not interrupt. V.A.Tolochenko's book also calls for it.
