Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin has met a delegation of Jewish educational organization ORT (Educational Resources and Technological Training), on a visit to Moldova, headed by the head of the World ORT Robert Singer. The delegation included the Director of ORT CIS and Baltic States, the director of ORT in Moldova, a group of American journalists on professional education. Robert Singer, chairman of ORT in the world, said Vladimir Voronin on the history of ORT and its current stage of development, the activities of Jewish educational organization in the world, in Europe, CIS, and Moldova in particular. Director of World ORT noted the success of ORT in Moldova to teach people the skills and knowledge needed to overcome the difficulties of modern life, promote their economic independence, professional and social mobility. In general, for projects of ORT in Moldova last year spent about $ 2 million, while in the program of the organization involved Moldovan citizens, regardless of nationality. Robert Singer praised the level of ORT cooperation with the Moldovan authorities, noting that such an effective partnership laid the foundation for the launch of the new, more ambitious projects in our country. Director of ORT Moldova Shore Ilan touched the specific projects for implementation which Moldova ORT, in cooperation with the authorities ready to proceed in the near future: draft computer studio on wheels, designed to teach IT in the most remote places of the republic; project professional reorientation of women training in occupations through outsourcing, which can be used to work at home, including in foreign countries, for persons with disabilities or who are unable to stay in office. In addition, at the suggestion of the Chess Federation of Moldova, ORT Moldova took up the draft chess universal education, in which students Moldovan schools will be able to learn the basics of chess. Head of State praised the work of ORT, ongoing education and training of people around the world and in the Republic of Moldova in particular. Vladimir Voronin thanked the representatives of ORT for their hard work towards improving the living standards and well-being as a Jewish people and other peoples living in Moldova, through training and education. The President noted that the purpose of ORT coincide with the tasks of leadership of our country to improve the lives of every citizen, including through the use of new technologies. After the meeting, the delegation presented the Head of State album of photographs, which depicted the most important milestones in the development of ORT in Moldova, since its foundation in our country for almost 90 years ago.
