March, 1946 is an official beginning of history of the Soviet bus in Kishinev. It is necessary to recognise, that the first attempt to organise transport in old Chisinau has been undertaken in 1909. There was such businessman - the land owner M.Suruchan. It has constructed garage in Kishinev and has converted lorries in the passenger. Then carriers took 50 copecks, Suruchan has established a payment twice less - 25 copecks. Something is visible not tritely, therefore the official beginning of history of the Soviet bus in Kishinev consider March, 1946. Time was difficult, transport did not suffice (war, ruin, Germans), therefore in a city have entered bus service by buses ZIS-154. By 1955 in a city worked on lines of 40 cars of mark ЗИС-155 and ПАЗ-651, and the volume of transportations of passengers has made about 6 million persons a year. In 1961 in a city 12 bus routes operated. In 1972 in a city 21 bus route operated already. On routes buses LAZ-695 went, later in a city began to arrive a LiAZ-677. In 1980th years the network of the Kishinev city bus developed fast rates. In 1983 in streets of Kishinev 32 bus routes worked as the general extent of 415 kilometres. On a line there were 258 buses in day. The volume of passenger transportations in a city made 107 million passengers a year. Since 1961 by 1982 volumes of transportation of passengers have increased in Kishinev in 5 times. The park of city buses has been replaced with Hungarian cars Ikarus-260 new the then and Ikarus-280.
