The statue of Freedom established on island of Freedom in the New York bay, celebrates today the 125-year-old anniversary. Statue opening ceremony in which the post of US president Grover holding at that time Clevelend has taken part, has taken place here on October, 28th, 1886. The monument has been presented the people of America in gift by France by century of the American revolution.
Created in 1875 sculptor Frederikom Bartoldi the statue, which height from the basis of a pedestal to an upper edge of a flame of a torch makes 92 metres, has been delivered to New York by a steamship, disassembled on 350 fragments.

American film actress Ñèãóðíè Óèâåð will read written in 1883 poetess Emma Lazarus a sonnet «the New Colossus», devoted to Freedom statue, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the USA Ken Salazar will hand over memorable gifts to the representative of the French government. Festivals by solemn pass of a flotilla of courts and fireworks will come to the end.

For the first time since 1916 this kind though and in a computer format, it will be accessible for all comers. During the First World War the American authorities have closed for public access in a torch for safety reasons.
