The United Nations have awarded most prominent representatives in struggle for human rights in Moldova in 2012. Awards have been handed over in the International day of human rights at the big congestion of state officials, a diplomatic corps and representatives of the international organisations. In total this year 7 awards have been handed over.
The first of seven awards was received by Artem Zavadovski, the member of group LGBT awarded for boldness in advancement of the rights of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals (ЛГБТ) in Moldova. After the awarded has received the award and corresponding congratulations, he has addressed to the chairman of parliament Marianu present on action the Magnifier, having reminded it about the former statement for the reserved relation to homosexuals and having urged to refuse the salary of the speaker as it is formed at the expense of taxes which pay including members of community LGBT.
The active worker of movement of rums, public intermediary Valeriu Kelderaru has received the award for measures on struggle against discrimination and social инклюзии rums of Moldova. Валериу Кэлдурару has specified in this occasion, that the representative of the nation of rums in Moldova receives for the first time the similar award.
The Tiraspol association of families with children with the limited possibilities has been awarded for advancement of the rights of children with the limited possibilities and their families on a left bank of Dnestr. The Beltsky newspaper "Supply and demand" (joint venture) has received the award for excellent journalism for the public blessing, and radio station Radio Europa Liber ă - for illumination of introduced reforms from the point of view of human rights.
Management of the social help and protection of a family of area Ungen has been awarded for innovative methods of advancement of human rights at local level, including management introduction about alternative care of the child, accepted by General assembly of the United Nations in November, 2009. Information centre "GenderDoc-M", the first organisation on protection of the rights of representatives of community LGBM in Moldova, have been awarded for the activity on struggle against discrimination by means of litigations, performances and an information work.
