Rejoice creators. Henceforth creative people who work on the basis of author's contracts, will pay smaller surtax is 7 %. Published in Monitorul oficial the law «About creative people and the creative unions» in Moldova has come into force today.
The law carries to a category of creative people «the physical persons creating cultural values, interpreting works of art and realising creative activity» in the field of the literature, art or journalism which work on the basis of author's, civil-law contracts or at all without the conclusion of contracts. Thus privileges under the taxation concern only those who works on the basis of the author's contract. Creative people who carry out the activity on the basis of civil-law contracts, will pay surtax by the same rules, as earlier (in 2012-2014 the surtax rate makes 7 % at the income to 25,2 thousand ëååâ in a year, 18 % at the income over 25,2 thousand ëååâ in a year). The new statutory act also allows the creative people who are not pursuing thus commercial objectives, free of charge to use opened allocations of libraries, museums, archives, showrooms and other organisations, including public funds of company Teleradio-Moldova and film studio Moldova-Film. According to the same law, the creative unions, their divisions and associations will use privileges at rent payment: for them óñòàíîâëåííû the same sizes of payment, as for the public establishments financed from the state budget. The law on creative people and the creative unions has been accepted on March, 1st, 2013 and today is published in Monitorul oficial. According to law article 23, the government within three months should bring into accord with it all operating statutory acts.
