Ten years CSTR, the first chairman - Alexey Chubashenko. In republic Moldova this year the new Law on TV and radio will be passed. Now the group of experts develops the given bill. It it has been declared past Friday on the ceremonial meeting devoted to decade of creation of Coordination council on TV and radio (KSTR).
Chairman KSTR has noticed Ion Михайло, that council activity last years promoted growth of a share of domestic channels. So, now in republic 45 radio stations work, 36 television channels, the majority from which are located in the regional centres. The number of operators of a cable announcement, now them already 160 grows also.
"Because new term of appointment CSTR will soon begin, it would be good to have to this establishment at the order the code of laws based on recommendations of the Council of Europe (СЕ) and considering local features, and also the modern Center of monitoring", - has told Михайло.
The coordination council on TV and radio is created in 1996. In February of the same year its first session on which chairman КСТР had been selected Alexey Chubashenko has taken place. Now the establishment co-operates with a number of the international structures and is a member of the European platform of bodies on regulation in the field of tele-radio broadcasting (EPRA).
